Since 1997, groups of nursing leaders have been collaborating under the umbrella of the Nursing Leadership Coalition of the Central San Joaquin Valley (NLC-CSJV). We are a local chapter of the Association of California Nurse Leaders (ACNL). As an organization our mission is to position nurse leaders to influence the future of healthcare in Central California. With the vision of facilitating the progression of nursing for a lifetime.

One purpose of the NLC is to coordinate recognition events and select the RN of the year from five distinguished areas, and present them with an award to recognize their distinct expertise and excellence among their peers and within the community.

Thanks to the wonderful corporate/business sponsors such as yourself, the RN of the Year Award Banquet has been a great success every year. This upcoming year, the NLC will again have an annual RN of the Year event to honor the newly chosen RNs of the Year. Any proceeds from this event will go directly to the NLC RN Scholarship Fund to be used by nursing students in the Central Valley Area. The RN of the Year Scholarship Committee is promoting nursing as a career by:

1. Holding our annual award banquet to honor nurses who have been recognized by their colleagues as individuals who have made a significant contribution to healthcare and in the community;
2. Helping nursing students pursue their career objectives by providing scholarship funds;
3. Promoting the image of nursing to encourage more people to pursue nursing as a career.

We are asking for your support and participation. I encourage you to become an active part of the group of businesses and corporations who have made a commitment in recognizing nursing excellence in our community. Advertisements are offered for Silver sponsorship level and above donations, advertisements are optional. Advertisements will be featured in the R.N. of the Year Banquet event program.
