Nomination Timeline

Month Activity
December Planning meeting with NLC President regarding nomination process
January Identify potential candidates for office.
February Confirm tentative nomination with identified members and notify Executive Board of state. Review NLC RN of the Year nomination and submit as appropriate.
March Present slate of candidates to NLC Board Provide candidate names to Secretary so ballot can be developed and sent to members.
April Membership votes on NLC board candidates.President confirms chair and co-chair appointees.
May Identify potential nominee(s) for ACNL Leadership award
June Confirm ACNL Leadership nomination with NLC Board. Review Nursing Hall of Fame nomination and submit as appropriate Board.
July/August Complete nomination forms to be submitted to ACNL
September Submit central valley leadership award nomination to ACNL
October/November Begin to identify potential candidate slate for the following year.
